This means they can be used for intra-cavity and multi-kW CW lasers, as well as ultra-fast pulse applications. To achieve this performance, optimized low-absorption fused silica is used. There is no thermal shift during use. The robust, wear-resistant coating is close to bulk and provides fatigue-free, environmentally independent performance. The state-of-the-art IBS coating technology enables excellent features such as high damage thresholds, low absorption, and low scattering.
